Environmentally safe cleaning

Margaria Cleaning Group has achieved ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management System accreditation both in Head Office and in client’s premises.

In accordance with the Margaria Cleaning Group Environmental Policy we are committed to managing environmental matters in a responsible manner. All tasks are carried out in line with the current environmental legislation, regulations and licenses.

Our commitment is highlighted by the implementation of environmental initiatives in the workplace, such as:

  • Micro-fibre technology and chemical dispensing systems incorporated to reduce the use of chemicals where possible.

  • Environmentally responsible products used as per the Australian Standard AS4351.

  • All paper products and bin liners are from recycled products.

  • Environmental responsibilities incorporated into staff inductions.

  • Working closely with waste and recycling contractors to achieve desired reduction targets.

  • Embracing new technology and equipment to reduce chemical and water usage.

  • Assessment of sites for environmental impact.

  • Chemical spill clean-up guide for cleaners where staff rooms are provided.

  • Sourcing environmentally friendly products (e.g., GECA certified Environmental Choice chemical range). These chemicals are manufactured in Australia from renewable resources, contain low VOCs and phosphates, are fully biodegradable , and have environmental packaging that is free from chlorinated plastics; and

  • New vehicles purchased are to be equipped with appropriate storage facilities for chemicals. All management personnel are supplied with reliable regularly serviced sign written vehicles.

We are also committed to the prevention of pollution, focusing on minimizing release of contaminants into the environment and efficient use of raw materials to conserve natural resources. This commitment extends to gathering monthly waste and recycling data and reporting on waste management systems to determine whether waste reduction and recycling targets are being met.
