Our Sustainability Journey
mcg has identified the positive impact our business operations can have on the environment and the communities we serve.
That’s why we are dedicated to fostering a sustainable future through our commitment to environmental stewardship and responsible practices through our day-to-day practices.
mcg is a proud member of the SME Climate Hub, a global initiative that empowers small to medium sized companies to take climate action and build more resilient businesses. Through the SME Climate Hub, we commit to lowering our impact on the environment through authentic action. In making the commitment, we have joined the United Nations Race to Zero campaign.

United Nations' SGDs
As a starting point, we have assessed and identified the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) that mcg operations are aligning to and subsequently where the business can make a positive impact. The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, adopted by all United Nations Member States in 2015, provided a shared blueprint for peace and prosperity for people and the planet, now and into the future.
Our Impact
To clearly understand where we can create value and make an impact, we have mapped our business operations to the SDGs and share our focus against the goals as follows:
Environmental
Implement robust waste management and recycling programs, that embrace the circular economy.
We recognise the importance of climate change and the role we play in minimising impacts through our cleaning services.
Protect natural environments and biodiversity, support regeneration.
Social
Increase the competency of our people, who are of prime importance to what we do.
Ensure equal opportunity for women and increase female participation in management roles.
Create value for our employees to improve their quality of life, both in the workplace and community, and provide equal opportunity for all.
Engender a culture of fairness and respect and leverage the strength of diverse perspectives.
Governance
Operate responsibly, meeting and exceeding our legal, social and ethical obligations.
Cross-cutting
Reduce environmental impacts, maintain a safe workplace, and promote health & wellbeing.
Materiality Assessment
Materiality identifies which environmental, social or governance issues could have substantial impacts an organisation’s performance or operational sustainability and are of significant interest to stakeholders. Using this materiality assessment mcg has developed an initial 15 goals to deal with ESG issues facing the organisation.
We are now in the process of measuring our emissions through partnering with NetNada and are on the verge of finalising our baseline towards managing our emissions going forward. To this end, with the support of our Net Zero Sustainability Consultant, mcg is geared towards the adoption of best practices in sustainability into the future.
